Mantra in Action;
A Journey Through the Chakras of Asana and chanting
Beginning at the root... Ganesha / Muladhara... we will journey through the seven main chakras of the body with asanas to stimulate physical awareness and mantra singing. Along the way, we connect to the God / Goddess energies that support our evolution and each Chakra. This is an all levels class that includes standing and seated postures and singing.
20:30 - 22:00
Kirtan: Ecstatic Chanting
Part of the centuries old practice of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. In Kirtan, practitioners chant mantras as a means of invoking the qualities of various deities to empower their lives. There is no experience necessary, and best of all, it is an open and safe environment to sing and be free in a light and fun way. The opening comes from your devotion and intention behind the mantras we sing. David will lead the chanting in call and response style and playing guitar.
September 3 - SATURDAY
9:30 - 12:00
Arm Balances; Cultivating Strength and Balance
Working from the core of the body and playing with gravity, we will explore various arm balancing postures that awaken, strengthen, and feel fun! Using visualization and concentration, we’ll tap into the parts of you that are confident so you can perform these Asanas.The class will also incorporate shoulder and hip opening as well as bandha awareness and core strengthening exercises as they are crucial to arm balancing Asanas. It will be a Vinyasa style class with fluid transitions into and out of selected arm balancing poses.
~Intermediate and Advanced Practitioners Welcome ~ Not recommended for beginners

Won’t you take me to…Shanti Town: Relaxation with Live Music
With busy and active lives, taking time to consciously rest and restore your body and mind is very important in maintaining physical and mental peace. Restorative yoga is the art of learning to be supported as the postures will have you being held by props while you relax deeply in shapes that promote your vitality. David will guide students into restorative poses and then serenade the busy mind to Shanti Town (Shanti is the Sanskrit word for Peace) with live music.
-Open to students of all levels, shapes and sizes
September 4 - SUNDAY
10:00 - 12:30
Independent Movement of your Parts; from Asanas to Daily Living
The human body is a miracle in motion and designed to have independently moving pieces through our system of joints. But due to lives challenges, our muscles become tight and joints restricted and we can lose that sense of independence. Through asanas and deep exploration, this workshop will focus on how to move your ‘parts’ independently making more room for Prana to flow while also discovering the causes of tension with deep introspection.
-All levels welcome
